So busy!
College really has taken over my life, not that I mind, I love every minute of it! However, it has been hard for me to maintain my presence on the internet. I haven't become inactive or anything, it's just hard for me to do anything more than submit and respond to comments. I always thank everyone personally but thanks again to everyone for all the views, comments, faves, and watches! Hugs to you all :3
Facebook Fan Page and Twitter Account Now Open!!
I finally finished the Facebook fan page for my new jewelry business, Punch Love Designs! I would love if you could check it out and maybe even become a fan! http://tinyurl.com/krl95y
I also started a Twitter account! I actually don't like it much and I still have to get used to it but hopefully I'll become an expert tweeter soon! twitter.com/punchlovedesign
I'm still in the process of opening my webstore, hopefully it'll be open by mid or late September! I'm so excited! This really is a great week, I got to spend some time with my friends before I leave, I opened the accounts I just mentioned, Friday is my birthday and hopefully a good fri
Major things coming soon!
I'm revamping my whole jewelry making business! New logos, packaging, and everything! I'm so excited :D Just a quick apology in advance to my watchers, I have a ton of new jewelry pieces I need to upload so I'm really sorry if I flood your in-boxes :(
So yea, stay tuned, I'll make an entry with all the details soon <3
I really should be more strict with updates
So I've been home for a few weeks now and I could not be happier! Things have been going amazing since I got here :D but I'm sad I wasn't able to get a job :( I'm really annoyed that I'm not doing anything this summer, so I'm hoping I'll be able to do some volunteer work or something. I'm happy I have time for my art though! I might buy a new batch of jewelry making supplies and start making jewelry again. I left all my supplies and nice beads in the storage facility back where my college is.
Speaking of college, I'm must say I kinda miss it. I'm really pumped to get started on my video game design classes this fall. I just got an email yest

Congrats with starting your new business! It must be exciting. I'm going back to college in a few weeks and I don't know how I'm going to maintain my inventory on Etsy and my new Website, but we'll see!
Anyway, about the whole Etsy vs. Artfire thing, I think it is a real toss up. When I started my business Artfire didn't exist so I started on Etsy. How much does it cost to get started on Artfire? Etsy is $0.20 per item listing and I think like 3% sale commission for them.
Etsy does have a huge amount of traffic and customers that artfire probably won't match (right now anyway). But then again, the jewelry category is the most saturated and cut-throat, it is difficult to compete. So in that case, maybe there is less jewelry on Artfire and a better chance of getting noticed.
You can always start at one and if it doesn't work out, switch. Or maybe expand later on with 2 shops. Anyway, I hope you find what is right for you!
